Fitchburg grew as a 19th century industrial center of water-powered mills, and a business water loss today still means a wet building that has to get back to work.
Drying around a working business
The crew builds a phased plan: extraction first, then containment barriers around the wet suites, then drying that runs after hours when customers or tenants need the space. Ceiling tiles, carpet tiles and wet insulation come out in sections so open areas stay usable.
- Inventory and records move away from the wet floor
- Barriers keep dust and noise out of dry suites
- Air movers and dehumidifiers run on a schedule the manager approves
- Each suite gets its own photos and moisture log
